1. Scale and structure of academic graduate supervisors
As of December 2016, there are a total of 292 doctoral supervisors and 985 mater supervisors (including professional degree supervisors) in our university. The number of supervisors increased by 23% compared to 2011, and the scale of supervisors gradually expanded with a significant increase in overall strength. The university initially forms a high-level and innovative supervisor team with a reasonable structure, a clear hierarchy, and a close connection.
In terms of degree structure (table 2-1), 77% of supervisors with doctoral degrees, 14% supervisors with master degrees, and learning-origin structure is further optimized.
In terms of age structure (table 2-2), supervisors under the age of 45 accounts for 48% which indicates the younger age structure of supervisor team in our university.
In terms of professional title structure (table 2-3), 42% supervisors have senior title or above and 55% supervisors have vice-senior title.
2. Curriculum system
Our university attaches great importance to the systematic nature of the curriculum system and highlights the advancement, hierarchy, different classification of the curriculum system. In terms of cultivation objectives, it aims for innovative talents and its essence lies in the cultivation of creativity and applied practical ability. In terms of course content, more attention is paid to the specialty, advancement, interdisciplinary traits, and social adaptability of knowledge; In terms of teaching methods, it fully embodies the initiative and the research of learning. In terms of teaching assessment, it pays more attention to ability, diversity and development, especially innovation ability and practical ability.
